This is the not-a.lawyer blog! My first rant is dedicated to browsers displaying this blog as „not secure“, if there’s no HTTPS. Switching from HTTP to HTTPS only improves security if a visitor would be able to provide information such as credit card numbers or passwords to a website. However, a visitor can only read my blog. Thus HTTPS is not required and browsers displaying this site as not secure create only unnecessary panic. Nonetheless I feel forced to switch to HTTPS, because the „not secure“ tag might scare away any non-tech-savy readers.
